Class Policies

Deposits

  • Prepayment in full is required as a deposit to secure your place in class.

Materials

  • The duration of class is based on instruction time and does not include time for material selection. We are more than happy to keep your selections in our "Hold Box" until class time if you'd like to come in on a day prior to class and select them when you're not rushed.
  • Please check your supply list upon registration. It provides you, not only with the list of items required for the class, but also lets you know which items are included in the class fee and which are available for an additional charge.
  • Using materials other than those recommended on the supply list can complicate projects and make learning a new technique more frustrating.
  • Due to the freedom we provide our customers to select their choice of materials for a class which includes materials costs, we have a maximum material cost per class that is estimated in order to price the classes. If you choose materials that exceed the amount allotted per class then additional charges will be assessed.
  • No credit will be given for material costs less than the maximum estimated.
  • If you have shopping to do, be sure to allot time before the class as the store may be closed after class.

On Class Day

  • If you usually wear glasses for reading, sewing, or other close work, be sure to bring them to class with you. New techniques are even more challenging when you are unable to see.
  • Please respect your instructor and fellow students and turn off all cell phones during class. (Silent mode is also acceptable)
  • Taking classes with friends is fun, however we are unable to accommodate guests or children who are not registered participants. 
  • In fairness to your instructors and fellow students, if you are more than 15 minutes late, you may not be admitted to the class and will forfeit your deposit.
  • Classes begin and end promptly; please select your materials in advance and arrive on time.

Cancellations

  • Cancellations by students must be made two business days prior to the scheduled class date in order to receive store credit for the full amount of the deposit.
  • Class transfers, store credit or refunds will be offered in the event that a class is canceled due to low enrollment. In such case, students will be notified no later than the day before the class and will receive prompt transfer, credit or refund.
  • All deposits are non-refundable, unless the class is canceled by the store.
